🚀 Smart Drone Delivery Prototyping

🧠 Overview

We’re seeking a talented Aerospace Engineer, AI Robotics Developer, or Embedded Systems Prototyper to design and implement a Smart Drone Delivery Prototype integrating autonomous navigation, object avoidance, and delivery logistics.

The goal of this mission is to create a proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrating how AI, IoT, and automation can optimize last-mile delivery through unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).


🎯 Main Objective / Task

  • Develop a working prototype of an autonomous drone capable of:
    • GPS-based navigation and route planning
    • Real-time obstacle detection and avoidance
    • Payload pick-up and drop-off automation
    • Return-to-base functionality after delivery
  • Integrate AI modules for dynamic decision-making (e.g., rerouting due to obstacles or weather).
  • Implement a control dashboard or app interface to monitor drone status, route, and delivery history.
  • Prepare a demo-ready prototype with data logging and system documentation.

🧩 Skills Required

  • ✈️ Drone Hardware & Flight Control Systems: PX4, ArduPilot, or DJI SDK
  • 🧠 AI / Computer Vision: TensorFlow, YOLO, or OpenCV for obstacle detection
  • 📡 GPS & IoT Communication: 4G/5G, LoRa, or Wi-Fi-based telemetry
  • ⚙️ Embedded Systems: Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or ESP32
  • 💻 Software Development: Python, ROS (Robot Operating System), or C++
  • 🗺️ Mapping & Path Planning: SLAM, QGroundControl, or Mission Planner
  • ☁️ Cloud Integration (optional): AWS IoT, Azure Drone API, or GCP Robotics

💼 Deliverables

  • Functional smart drone prototype (demo-ready)
  • Source code, schematics, and configuration documentation
  • Prototype test video or live demo
  • Technical handover report (architecture + scalability roadmap)

🕒 Mission Duration

4–8 weeks (depending on hardware setup and prototype complexity)


💡 Outcome

The prototype will demonstrate a next-generation smart delivery system — integrating AI-powered navigation, automation, and IoT connectivity for real-world logistics applications in retail, healthcare, and e-commerce sectors.
